Scholarships
MAELC's Scholarship Program was designed to attract
and retain enthusiastic and qualified students to Agricultural Education
at several qualifying Minnesota institutions.
Continuing AgEd
Student Scholarship Winners
Individual awards will be made by the Scholarship Committee. The Continuing
Ag Ed Student Scholarship is available to current Minnesota AgEd students
with sophomore, junior or senior status. The student must be registered
full-time (13 credits per semester), must be in good academic standing,
exhibit leadership on campus, and a desire to continue with agricultural
education as a career.
Continuing AgEd Student Scholarships MAELC has provided:
$7,000 in 12 scholarships in 2005
$11,750 in 18 scholarships in 2006
$8,500 in 17 scholarships in 2007
$11,500 in 24 scholarships in 2008
$19,000 in 21 scholarships in 2009
Freshman Scholarship Winners
First-year students enrolling in Agricultural Education at the University
of Minnesota or through one of the established partnership programs
(Ridgewater College-Willmar; South Central College-Mankato;
Central Lakes College-Brainerd; Minnesota West College-Worthington;
Riverland Community College-Austin; or the University of Minnesota-Crookston). It is expected that you will
pursue a degree in Agriculture Education.
Freshman Scholarships MAELC has provided:
$20,000 in 11 scholarships in 2000
$20,000 in 12 scholarships in 2001
$30,000 in 17 scholarships in 2002
$10,000 in 10 scholarships in 2003
$14,000 in 12 scholarships in 2004
$19,000 in 17 scholarships in 2005
$8,000 in 9 scholarships in 2006
$11,500 in 14 scholarships in 2007
$8,500 in 9 scholarships in 2008
$11,000 in 12 scholarships in 2009
Student
Teacher Stipends MAELC has provided:
$3,000 in 8 stipends in 2002
$2,000 in 10 stipends in 2004
